Several members of “The Skitterati” (our internal nickname for the Skitter team) are on the way to Seattle this weekend. Skitter, Inc. will be on hand for OPASTCO’s 2010 Summer Convention and Trade Show, which gets underway Sunday afternoon at The Westin Seattle. Look for us at tables 8 and 9 in the exhibit area. Also on the agenda is a presentation by Skitter, Inc.’s President and Co-Founder Robert Saunders. Saunders will participate in a panel discussion as a part of the management break-out sessions on Tuesday, July 27 from 8 till 10 a.m.
The panel session, to be moderated by GVNW Consulting‘s Dana Baker, is titled “Putting Technology to Work: Taking Advantage of Broadband Service Opportunities.” Also participating are Raymond Henagan of Rock Port Telephone Company and Randy Trost of GVNW Consulting. Presented by the OPASTCO Associate Member Committee, the panel will offer case-study reviews of three emerging examples of the service options that broadband offers OPASTCO members eager to exploit new and perhaps unconventional opportunities: over-the-top (OTT) video, data storage and cloud computing. Discussion will include business and financial insight from OPASTCO associate members, as well as telco operating and network experiences. We’re handling the “OTT video” portion of the discussion.
If you’re going to be in Seattle for this important telecom event, grab a cup of Starbuck’s and come take a look at Skitter.TV while you’re there.
